Back Home Projects
At home students carry out Back Home Projects (BHPS). A number of interconnected activities are carried out in the homes of the students over a period of time with the aim of improving their standards of living and relationships. The schools do not have a blue print of the BHPs carried out, but most activities are aimed at bringing about;
- • Sustainable peace
- • Sustainable food security
- • Improved health/sanitary conditions
- • Cooperation at household and village level
- • Increased and sustainable income generation
- • Education of children
- • Improved nutrition and food processing
- • Improved agriculture/farming methods
BHPs are part of the 2Generations Approach to facilitate development which focuses both on the present and future generations i.e the students and their parents to get out of the poverty trap.
